Learn business studies

The studies concentrate in business which includes working life and financial skills, customer service, entrepreneurship and sales. You can also have an international certificate in business administration in addition to the Qualification in Business. EBBD, European Business Behaviour and Democracy Certificate, is granted to students who demonstrate excellent skills in international business administration. 

Studies include

The scope of the Vocational Qualification in Business is 180 competence points (cp). The qualification is composed of vocational units (145 cp) and common units (35 cp). Common units, (35cp) is composed of basic skills and know how needed in working life, academic studies, and lifelong learning. These studies include, for example, Finnish language and Mathematics. 

Focus of the studies is on sales and entrepreneurship, and studies include, among other things, the following optional vocational units:

– Planning a business 15 cp 
– Working in an enterprise 15 cp
– Sales work 30 cp

This program requires full time attendance from Monday to Friday. In addition to studying in the classroom, practical training is a vital part of studies. Students will apply and demonstrate their learned skills at the practical training.

Who can apply?

You are required:

• Good command of English – English language certificate or language test  
• Completed application with attachments  
• Interview. The interview is at the college and cannot be organized online or via telephone. 

All the supporting documents must be submitted by the end of the application period, March 17, 2026. 

English language test: In March-April 2026 – at the college    

Interview: In May 2026 – at the college   

Admission results: In June 2026.   

The cost of studying

The education is free of charge for those subject to compulsory education. The tuition fee is not charged to citizens of EU member states, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland.

As of 1 August 2026, education is subject to a tuition fee for non-nationals of EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland. Read more about the tuition fee.
